I'm an hotelier from my teenage. I'm so interested in doing with the coir industry and vegetable farming. There are seven mini markets in Denuwala,  where they operate 07 days of the week. The villages are very happy to visit these markets to sell their products and contented with the income they have and resort available with them. Further more recently they have introduced prawn farms and it looks gradually they are improving to a good extend.

Occupation other than hotelling in my life I have employed in a star class resort in Maldives for a period of more than 10 years. (From 1983 - 1993), on my return to the Mother land I have decided to start my own resort as I had the convenience to do so.

I selected village Denuwala as I knew the surrounding long time before the employment in Male. Village Denuwala is 22km away from Galle and 02km from the town of Ahangama . A well known surf point in Asia - Midigama is only 400 meters away from our place and to Weligama town where you get a big fishing harbour is only 3 kms as well. There is about 12000 populations in village Denuwala.and it has 02 big historical temples. They are situated in very beautiful locations. One is a school temple and lot of people visit there for meditation and yoga performances. There are about 60 students monks and 12 teacher monks are living there. The villages are helping these two temples and visit always for their religious requirements and other important matters to the religious side.

Most of the people in this beautiful village, Denuwala are engage with fishing in big scale as well as small scale. That is their main occupation from their inception.
